Every time someone comes back from a vacation, I almost always end up asking the same question: “So, how was the trip?” It sounds simple, but the conversation that follows usually tells me so much more about the person than just the place they have visited.
So far, my travel experience has been pretty much limited to a couple of visa-free countries and one long business trip to the Land of the Rising Sun—Japan. Not exactly a long list, but enough to come back with a few stories, a handful of surprises, and little more perspective than I expected.
