Comfort, if you ask me, can be a tricky companion.
What starts out warm, familiar, and safe can quietly turn against you. Before you know it, the routine you once craved is replaced by restlessness — and if you’re anything like me, you may mistake it for a flaw.
But is it really something we should fix?
Letting go of routines, habits, or mindsets that no longer serve us doesn’t mean postponing comfort or happiness for some distant day. It means opening ourselves to the possibility of something new — something that might challenge us, surprise us, or even change us.
So every time you feel stuck, start with a single honest question:
“Is this still serving me?”
Be honest in answering it, as that alone can help you break the cycle.
Honestly, if you ask me, neither comfort nor growth is the enemy. They simply play different roles in our lives. Comfort gives us pause — space to plan, reflect, and steady ourselves. Growth nudges us into movement and action.
And we genuinely need both — just not always at the same time.
If this resonated with you, share a comfort you’re willing to let go of in order to grow.
